Kyle 1st Foods and Kreighton 1st Slumber Party...Almost:)

This weekend was a big weekend in the Peck household, Kyle ate rice for the first (I would put pictures up, but am having issues getting pictures off my camera) he did good, and Kreighton was able to join in the fun and feed him. She thought it was fun for the first few times, and then got bored with it! It is hard to believe that he is already over five months!
Fred and I had a surprise anniversary party for Bill and Kay Dolan on Saturday night and since The Quirings were home Kreighton was just going to go over to her Grandma and Grandpa Peck's and spend the night with her cousins. She was beyond excited about it and that was all she talked about was sleeping on the living room floor with JuJu and Ella. Kyle stayed at our house with a babysitter. Well Fred's phone rang at 12:40 am it was his mom, Kreighton was up and refused to go back to sleep she was bringing her home. So her first slumber party ended early, but she still had fun! I am not so sure I can say the same for Marilyn and Tara who were up late trying to get her back to bed:)
And we got our tree put up, Kreighton had fun and Fred let her put the star on top, Kyle just hung out in his Bumbo, I do think he will like the lights.

Fred is Done

So it has been a while since I have written anything, it is because it has been busy in the Peck household, Fred has been in the fields, and since Marilyn was in Boston I was in charge of the meals for the Fred and Glen. Busy Busy!
But yes Fred is done...so we are all very happy! Kreighton will miss riding with her dad in the combine almost every morning!
This weekend Kreighton got to watch Tinkerbelle with her Aunt Sissy, she was so excited and talked about in all week! On Saturday she went to work with Angie, and got to go the airport with Grandpa to pick Grandma up, she was so excited to see her.
Kyle is turning into my very happy baby and smiling all the time! Saturday he got to spend the day with his mom we went to see the Tetzlaffs for a little bit.
Kreighton talks about getting presents for Christmas she wants Tinkerbelle and tractor pjs, because that is what Will wears. And she is very excited for her cousins to come to Iowa this weekend for Thanksgiving, every morning she asks if JuJu and Ella are coming today!

Kreighton Wins

So about nine months ago we decided it was time to take Kreighton's passy away, we wanted to take care of it before Kyle was born and decided it needed to be done, it really went pretty smoothly and after a few nights without it she was fine! Well since Kyle has been born it has been a battle with her taking Kyle's passy most of time she does it for attention. But she would take it and run in her room where we could not see her, if she was playing quietly most of time it was because she had taken her brother's passy! Last week Little Miss Kreighton decided this was battle she was not willing to lose...she started to suck her thumb! Once again I thought it was for attention, however she started doing it all the time! She would be watching tv I would look over and it would be in her mouth, it the car, and wanting to go to bed so she could do it. So yesterday Kyle had his 4 month check up and after talking to her doctor we decided to give her passy back just in her crib so that she would stop sucking her thumb. Last night I told her when she went to bed that she would get her passy, I have never seen her so excited to go bed! SO in a few months it looks like we will be breaking Kreighton of the passy again for the second time in her short life!
Kyle checked out just perfect at his appointment, but he did fair so well with this shots, he was miserable today! So he snuggled all day with his Aunt Sissy and me! He was not a happy camper! So with Fred being in the fields, Kreighton wanting her passy all day, and Kyle being fussy, lets just say it was a long day!
It has been a while, and I am writing this for Allison:)Fall is here for the Peck's, Kreighton has been in the combine twice with her dad and loves it! The weather is not really cooperating the way we would like it to, but it really never does! This weekend we went to my parents house and cheered on the Hawkeyes to a victory, Kreighton was bound and determined that she HAD to wear her tutu and her plastic high heels, she looked like a diva and her Aunt Sissy even put make up on her which she loved! This week she has decided she loves Cinderella and Snow White, even though she is still devoted to Dora, she is starting to take an interest in other things. We even went to the library and like such a big girl she asked the librarian where the Cinderella books were! Kyle loves watching his sister run around and play, and this week is rolling over all the time again, he gets so mad on his belly:) Fred put up his exersaucer which he likes ok, Kreighton tells us that is her toy but she LETS Kyle play with it! And Kyle is getting closer to sleeping through the night, usually only gets up once:)Pray for some nice weather for us so Fred can get the beans out and maybe I can get Kreighton to a pumpkin patch!
This weekend we decided to take the kids to a pumpkin patch, we took our nephew Will along to Kreighton had someone to play with. Kreighton did not really know what to think of everything and was pretty timid at first, she was definitely not interested in the jumpy things, however, Will loved them and I think he would have stayed in them all day. I did not pay attention to the shoes Will had on, and tried to put the wrong shoes back on him, I really think the lady thought I was trying to steal her son's shoes! We got to go on a hayride which both of the kids liked. Then came the major problem, Kreighton had to go to the bathroom, so Fred took her to the porta potty (which I think are disgusting) and I was cringing at the thought of Kreighton having to use one. Fred came out shaking his head, Kreighton refused to go to the bathroom, she told me they were yucky and would not go. I 100% agree with her, however, I have to wonder how my two year old knows that as well. Kreighton was miserable because she had to go to the bathroom, but would not go (her easy days of diapers are over)! Eventually Fred talked our "high maintenance" daughter to going behind a tree, ok so maybe not so high maintenance and then she was much better. Then we went to my parents house to yes again cheer the Hawks on to a victory! Kreighton was loving in jumping up and down saying "go Hawkoguys!" Kyle was awoken several times by my dad. Any of you that know him, would know he went a little crazy several times throughout the game. And we were also excited that Cyclones won and even bought the kids ISU outfits this week at Target! Finally some clothes they like to wear!!!

What Fred does at work

What Fred does at work!
Today Kreighton woke up from her nap and wanted to know where her dad was. I told her that he was at work, then she told me he was outside working with her "Boppa". I asked her what Boppa and Daddy did at work, she told me that they jump and play with her kitties. I thought it was pretty funny
