Zombie Run

Almost a month ago I did a zombie/obstacle run....I really had no idea what I was in store for....well actually what I thought it was going to be like was actually nothing like it really was!
I thought it was going to be a slow-paced 5k where
I ran/walked with my friends waiting in line to do the different obstacles and an occasional zombie would pop out and try to scare us!  I had no idea I would be running/sprinting,  screaming like a girl, while scary zombies attempted to maul us to get our flags!

Could you imagine this guy coming at you?

Or this one....and there was never just one there was usually 5 or 6 in a pack.
Zombies would jump out of the this casket!!! In the dark barns  on the fairgrounds!
We had to run CLEAR around this race track...which is at more of an angle then you realize especially when you are trying to keep your footing in wet mud....did I mention in started to rain right before our race....so it was especially muddy for our heat!

BUT here is me finishing as a "Survivor" if you still had a flag left you were considered a survivor....no flag you were infested!!!!

Here are the peeps I did it with....Brad, Sara, Kris, and Me!!
Shannon had just had her tonsils out!

And Sara and I placed so we got a medal out of it!

It was by-far the the most fun 5k race I have ever done....and I cannot wait to do run the same one next year!!!!!!!

Halloween 2013

So I will be the 1st to say Halloween is not my favorite holiday....actually I do not like it at all...especially trick-or-treating and carving pumpkins!

But I don't think the kids would ever let me get away with not doing those things....right???  It is all about the memories....blah blah blah!

I DO like the party we have every year in Monti!!!
The two batmans!  Kyle and Clay/Carter Wilgenbusch!

Some tough dudes!

The non-tonsil duo!  Shannon had her tonsils out and
Lindsay had hers out a week later!

Kreighton, Lindsay, and Laynee!
Lindsay does not look like she had her tonsils out two days before that!!! What a trooper!

The parachute is always a big hit!

Lots and Lots of kids!!!

Now it is time to carve pumpkins....yipppeee!!!!

Can you guess whose pumpkin broke?

Kyle's.....of course!

But Fred told him it was a mean scar....then
Kyle thought it was cool!!!

Crazy boy....and that Miller Lite is mine....that is what I need to get through pumpkin carving!

Then comes trick-or-treating....1st stop Hardees to see Great G & G

Great-Grandpa and Kreighton

Great Grandpa and The Peck Boys----notice Kyle NOT wearing his costume...he did not want to wear it on Halloween even though he has worn for weeks at other times of the year!!!

Great Gma and The Boys

We went to see Dean and Lola (the witch) Kyle was not ok with getting his pic taken with Lola....but completely ok with Dean!

And Kyle decided to put his costume on and take a picture with Lola....after he made her take off her nose so that he could see it was really her!

Trick-or-treating!  YEAH! (that is sarcasm)

They really did like it....maybe I should change my attitude about Halloween....I think I will when the kids are big enough to go by themselves!!!!!

Minnesota

A couple weeks ago I went up to Minnesota to visit the Moroneys for a couple of days....Nolan had been sick and in the hospital with pneumonia and had a rigorous routine of breathing treatments and a shaking vest 4 times a day!!!!  So Kael and I went up to see if we could lend a helping hand!  And to have some fun with Clara and Nolan!

We went to train store....Kael loved it!

As did Miss Clara!

I took the kids to the park and Clara was being a super sister and pushing Nolan

Kael on the airplane!

Cheeese!

Pick me up Aunt Maggie

And these two played so well together....sometimes it is hard to remember they are only a year apart!

Combining the corn (I always knew Clara would be a farm girl)

And maybe we need to get Nolan on the farm....he thought the corn head was a comb and tried combing everyone's hair with it!!!!

They also played babies!

Nolan with some wild hair!

Almost looks like they could be twins!

Trying to get a good picture of the 3 of them!

At least they are all looking!

It was a fun trip and we even got to meet up with Quiring and Hinderaker Girls (minus Michelle) BUT of course I got no pictures!!!  But Kael did love being the center of attention of all the girls!
I was glad to be able to go up for a couple of days and super glad Nolan is feeling better!
