Christmas Celebrations!

We did a few things to get ready for the Christmas Season!  We took the kids to Cedar Rapids to The Fire and Ice Festival ....it was a pretty mild winter night so we thought it would be fun.  They had horse drawn carriage rides, a trolley, Santa was there, and a parade.  Well it was awesome that they had all these things BUT the lines were out of this world so we decided to go in and see Santa....and literally right when we got in line they cut the line off and said no more kids....soooo we decided to go and get a good spot to see the parade...we were all cuddled up in our blankets sitting when people just came and STOOD in front of us....so that meant if we wanted to see the parade we all had to stand  as well...so it was kind of annoying the kids thought the parade was neat so I guess it was worth it....but I do not think we will be going back anytime soon!

All bundled up

Kreighton and Kyle

Kael

Oh yeah and to pass the time we paid an arm and leg for the boys to get swords and Kreighton got a lite-up cowboy boot  necklace...you know something every kid needs!
My 3 favorite boys!

My Number 1 Girl!

Kyle and Fred

Decorating the Tree....the kids totally got into it and loved it!
Loved going through the ornaments

All 3 of them!

Fred.....I guess Kyle does look like his Dad!

Kreighton attempted to Micro-Manage the boys telling them where to put everything....she eventually gave up and let them  decide where they wanted to put the ornaments as well.

Kreighton's Winter Concert....I tried to get a picture of Parker and her....but he was out sick!

There she is in the cream dress and red headband

Kreighton was a lucky girl and got to go to the Musical Shrek....it was an awesome performance and hilarious!  For kids and adults!

Kreighton and Sissy out to eat before!

Grandma and Kreighton we got seats right in front!

Right away Kreighton recognized that this "Princess" went to East Buchanan and helped in her room last year...Britta Fults and she was ever so sweet to pose with Kreighton in a picture.

The "younger" Fionas

Double Christmas Tree decorating.....we got to go and decorate Grandpa and Grandma's as well!

We went to the library to see Santa...they always do an awesome job and have cookies and coloring pages to keep the kids entertained so the wait does not seem as long.

Kael and Kreighton
Kael asked for a dump truck, skid loader, rock breaker (which they do not make anywhere) and tow truck
Kreighton asked for a live horse....right

And the reason Kyle was not there is because he got to go on a 5 hour road trip to look at a new tractor with his Dad....I am not sure who was more excited!  He even got to spend the night with The Quirings and drive home the next morning.
