Kael's Birthday Post

Kael is not quite old enough to answer questions yet....:)

Kael turned 2 on 8-26, he is my outside lovin, farmer want to be, brother torturer, boot wearin, book readin,   Dora watchin, gator rider, working on being potty-trained, crazy BIG baby!  He got the nickname big baby from Toy Story 3....he looked like Big Baby! 

As all kids Kael LOVES to be outside he loves the sandbox the most and will play in it forever!  He loves to be anywhere on any skidloader, lawn mower, or forklift!  If I can't find him he has usually snuck into the shed and is on the skidloader or the mower.  We actually had to start storing the mower in a different building because he kept turning the lights on and draining the battery!  He loves to torture his brother.....I usually like to sit back and laugh because Kyle gets to mad and Kael just laughs!  And he ONLY wears boots, his brothers old ones....I think I might have to break down and get him a new pair because his stink!  And he loves books and would read and read forever....I think I have  my mom to thank for this because she would sit and read with him forever!  And he recently has started to love Dora which makes this Mama say Woo-Hoo!  I need a break sometimes!  We are working on potty-training and he does ok with it....I would not call him potty trained but getting closer!  I love that I get to be home with him two days a week while his siblings are at school!  We spend our days going to The Comet Center in Aurora a couples of mornings a week where Sara and I working on him and Levi playing together!  Then we read books for a long time!  Then eat lunch and off to naps for Kael and sometimes me!  And Kael usually sleeps for 3 hours....yes that is right 3 hours two days a week I get a quiet house!  He is my most happy boy and is always excited to see us when we come home and runs towards with open arms "Mama Mama"  He loves to keep up with this siblings which is getting to be more and more.....his attitude is just because I am the baby does not mean I will be left out!

Kyle loves to play!  I have always said he is like Andy on Toy Story because he will play and play with his toys ALLLL day....which makes it fun to buy him things because I know he will play with them!  I thought Kreighton was a little over the top about her clothes and thought Kyle will never be like this....he is boy...boys don't care and  oh was I ever wrong!  He is nuts about his clothes all summer he only wanted long sleeves and pants because that is what farmers wear!  The last couple weeks he has TWO shirts he will wear and actually wore one wet the other day because he could not wait for it to dry! They are Under Armour (this thrifty mom found them on clearance) that are a little tight....I asked him why he likes them so much and he says "Mom they are cool and you can see my muscles"  He has some weird quirks about him...like the only way he can play with his rescue bots is if he is wearing long sleeves...and the only time he plays with Optimus Prime (one of the rescue bots) is if we are camping otherwise he will not touch it...I have asked him to try explain to me why he does this...and he can't!  He loves to farm and be just like daddy and Grandpa you can usually find him driving his gator around the farm following one of those two around!  He loves preschool which is a little surprising BUT it makes me happy and life easier! He takes tap/gymnastics and he likes but gets mad because he does not like that he cannot wear jeans and changes the second he gets done with class!

He sure does add some spice to our life and many times a day I find myself asking "What on earth are you doing Kyle"

At age 6 Kreighton loves school, playing with friends, coloring, playing with her American Girl Doll, and just being a girly girl some days and a sporty girl other days!

She is my pretty easy-going and for the most part toes the line and does what she should.  She loves to show her independence....we do have days where I might get some eye rolls from her and she has recently told me I am no longer allowed to call her my girlfriend!  She is a good big sister to her brothers and walks Kyle to his room on preschool days and is willing to read books to Kael!  I do wish her and Kyle would learn to get along better....but that is every parents hope....right?  They will eventually at least I hope!

She does gymnastics and tap and really loves doing that as well!  Her memory is amazing to me...she seems to remember everything and is great with directions (which she gets from her father....I have trouble figuring out right from left most days)  She recently got a "Buc Award" at school for being kind at school!  Ok enough bragging about my daughter....but I do really want to remember all these things about her being 6!   

  

Bloomsbury Farm

Last Wednesday I decided the boys and I needed an outing while Kreighton was at school!  I decided to call my Mom last minute to see if she wanted to come along...and she said "YES".....Grandmas always make things easier!!!

Kreighton's 1st Hawkeye Game!

Last weekend I decided to take Kreighton to her 1st Iowa Football Game....I think I was a little older when I 1st got to go....but loved going as a child and could not wait to start the tradition with my own kids!

AND he did....and she is a HAWK fan for life (ok I might have made that part up) BUT the next time she claims to like the Cyclones....I will remind her of this picture!

And she was CASHED out before we even got out of Iowa City!

It really was a great day and we had so much fun....and I cannot wait to go back and do it again!

Birthday Party

We had the 2nd Annual Moroney Cousin Birthday Bash!  It was a huge hit and I would say it is safe to say all the kids had fun!   We had the dragon slide again along with a face painter!
