Impromptu Get Together!

Last week Jayme, Maria, and myself were able to FINALLY get together!  It was a last minute "Hey Maria stop out for a bit" and I knew that Jayme was going to be dropping off Kreighton....so it worked...and no planning involved!  Our busy schedules has made it seem so hard to get together this summer!

 And then it was quiet....which can sometimes be worrisome...BUT then Fred came around the corner with these CRAZYS.....Mr. Incredible, Miss Hollywood, and Crazy Kael!   Tate had already gone home ;)

Fontana!

Last weekend none of our camping friends were camping....so we decided to take the kids anyway!  When they found out that no one else was going they did not know who they were possible going to play with!  They did not like the answer we told them....EACH OTHER!  WHAT!  The thought of having to play with your siblings and not your friends was too much for our kids to take!  "You mean none of our friends are going to be there and we have to play with each other?"  

"This is MY truck!"

"I want it!"

And BOTH crying!

So it was not like this the whole time....they did have fun UNDER the camper!

Will stayed with is the 2nd night...so that gave us more things to do....shoot at people driving by!

Fontana was fun for the kids...we did go fishing...but caught nothing!  To be honest we have never caught anything fishing with our kids!  We did a TON of biking....Kreighton actually had blisters on her hands from biking!  So it was a great weekend and a fun campsite!

Adventureland!

We took Kreighton and Kyle to Adventureland for a night...we left Kael with Mom and Dad....it would  have been too much to take him....plus I was looking forward to nap/diaper free day!

We stayed at the Adventureland Inn....and Kreighton went down this slide 2347 times...no  joke...she loved it!

She was a fish and swimming all over the place!

We played ALL day at the park and it was HOT so we decided to take a break at the hotel and then we headed back to the park at night where it was cooler and less people!  The kids were having fun UNTIL Kyle started crying about his ear....I hate earaches and cannot imagine how painful they are for kids!  So Fred took him and got him some medicine that seemed to help...but not long enough....Kyle woke up at midnight in so much pain he was crying and shaking....I felt terrible we gave him MORE medicine and he finally fell back to sleep and slept the rest of the night!  Having a sick kid is no fun...having a sick kid in a hotel is DOUBLE no fun!  He woke up in the morning and he seemed ok...as long as we kept meds in him.  So we decided he would be ok to go to a western store and pick out some new cowboy boots!

And this is what he picked out at the store! He got a little spoiled BUT he was a little sick AND he was being extra cute!

And here he is at Urgent Care when we got home....where I found out he a ruptured ear drum....I felt terrible for the poor kid!

 So overall it was a fun trip and the kids had fun....MINUS the earache!

Delaware County Fair

We spent two nights at the Delaware County Fair....1st night was adults and we saw Justin Moore in concert (this was my 1st concert since Goo-Goo Dolls my freshman year at Loras....it was a good concert!

I got to go with these pretty ladies!  

The next night we took the kids to see the animals and ride some rides!

It was fun two nights!

Amish

Kreighton has been taking a nature class every week at Fontana...last week I packed a lunch for the kids and we had a picnic before class when we got there I noticed right away the Amish were also having big picnic as well!

My kids were completely enthralled with this different culture!  And had lots of questions and comments....I thought some of them were hilarious!

"Mom why don't they just go to Justice and get real clothes?" -Kreighton 

"Are ALL those girls Little Red Riding Hoods?" -Kyle

"Why won't they play with me?"  -Kreighton She tried her HARDEST to get one the girls to play with her....and none of them would....she just did not understand!

"Why do they get to wear pants and long sleeves and I don't?"  -Kyle was MAD I made him wear shorts that day and he did not want to (it was 90 degrees out)

It was an interesting picnic and the kids are still wondering about the Amish and how they live....and I do as well!  

PECKS HOME!

Wagners, Quirings, and Hinderakers all came home for the 4th!  I did not do a great job of taking a lot of pictures....and have more to upload but wanted to at least get a few out there!

Kyle got a Bumblebee (his most beloved Rescue Bot) costume from Hinderakers and Quirings....from the pictures following you will see that he loved it!

It was a fun busy couple of days!  But all the cousins had fun and as always we were sad to see them leave!
