Mother's Day

For Mother's Day this year I woke up to a card with a gift certificate to a spa in Manchester and we planned to go to church....well Mother's Day is not really meant for Mother's whose husbands are farmers.....May is NOT the best time of the year for Mothers to have a day off!  So going to church as a family was put to a halt after a customer called to pick up seed! BUT Fred did keep the boys with him so Kreighton and I headed to church!
It did rain....sooooo I got my husband back!  We hung out Fred took the older kids over to Grandma Marilyn (Kael stayed back to nap) and then I came up with a quick plan and asked my mom to watch my kids for an hour and bring them to Manchester ...Fred and I went to the new brewery in Manchester (which was awesome)
Fred and I were enjoying our beers when Mom called and had no keys to the van...Fred checked his pockets and low and behold were the keys....so Fred had to drive the Winthrop...I went to my Grandparents!  So even though my Mother's Day was not perfect...it was still a fun day!

Moser Dance Recital!

Saturday night we had Kreighton and Kyle's Recital for Moser...it was fun to have TWO kids in the recital this year!

Kyle-he was in a "mood" before the recital....so to get him to perform took a small miracle and maybe an incentive of getting to sleep in Mom and Dad's bed if he did it....not at all bribery!

Wheelbarrow

Kreighton getting ready for her dance routine!

There she is...she on the other hand could not wait to get out there and perform!

Kyle was next with his tap....we did have a few tears between the performances....but he did it!

Thumbs Up!

Kreighton doing her tumbling!

IT was a fun night...and wish I could have gotten more pictures of the kids together...but it was literally survival of the fittest trying to deal with Kyle!

Grandma Marilyn is Awesome!

Because she is Citizen of the Year for Winthrop!
So last Monday the Quirings "snuck" home from Minnesota to surprise Marilyn at the banquet.  We hung out at our house for a while and then headed over the golf course so when Marilyn got the award we would be there!

We had to hang out longer than we thought, but thankfully it was nice out!

Ella and Kreighton waiting!

We got to in and hear the end of the speech, see Grandma Marilyn cry happy tears,  and then give lots of hugs!
Afterwards Marilyn said she was looking around trying to figure out who they were talking about, but soon realized it was her!  She was very honored by the award and we were all super happy/proud of her!

Some fun afterwards!!!

Kreighton's turn!

The one of all of us even made the front of the newspaper!

I love this one of the two of them!

I was happy for Marilyn to be honored for everything she does for the community!

Moroneys Visit!

Clara and Nolan came to spend a few days in Iowa....I was not super about taking pictures....but I did get a few good ones!!!

Fred reading to Nolan

Kael was never too bar behind if Nolan was getting any sort of attention from Fred or  I!

Love this picture of the 3 of them!

And this one!

Kreighton and Clara requested a picture of just the two of them!

Kyle was NOT happy about being left out!

These 2 could have cared less!
Kyle was super cousin when it came to Nolan and doted on him giving him whatever he needed!

Cousin Snuggle Time

Getting ready for bed!

4 kids in the back seat....it used to be safe!

And to the Comet Center

Playing Dress-up

Clara was literally the little sister Kreighton never got!

Happy Girls!

It was fun to have them here....and I even found myself thinking when I had all 5 that maybe 3 kids is easier than 5....well at least for an hour or two:)  And it was fun to have the kids here and actually get to spend more than a weekend with them!!!
