Grandma Sharon RETIRES!

After working for the government for over 28 years Mom retired!  We decided that a party to celebrate was a must!  We had it at Pinoak Golf Course in Manchester it is a beautiful place to have a party and we had a great time! It was not really a "surprise" we just didn't really share with mom what was going on!

No Camera...for a week!

I did not have a camera for over a week...I went somewhat crazy!
We had a busy 10 days....

-Kyle got the flu and threw up about 30 times in an 18 hour period
-Kyle and Kreighton had gymnastics camp for a week in Edgewood...they both liked it and I am  going to plan on signing them both up for it next fall!
-Kreighton took swimming lessons and she loved it...and can now go under water without it bothering her ears
-Kael got tubes and did great
-When we got home from getting tubes Fred took Kyle to the Dr because he fell and sliced open his chin...they were able to glue it back together
-Fred started on the new deck...it was a family affair and we all helped (which the pictures would have been so cute)
-I went on a one day trip to meet Baby Fisher and spend the day with my cousin Liz
-We went to the Manchester Pool a few times and can't wait to spend a lot of time there this summer
-Kreighton and Kyle are taking a nature class at Fontana
-We can't believe June is half over and can't wait to go to FL and have family here!

Kael...9 months!

Yes that is right...hard to believe but right!  He LOVES LOVES the outside and the Little Tykes Coupe Car keeps him very entertained!  He has gone swimming a few times and also enjoys being in the water!
He can stand by himself for a few seconds...which seems way too early!
He loves most foods still but really loves bread...he will try most anything!  He WAS doing great sleeping until the last few weeks and we have been battling double ear infection-he started running a high fever and I thought it was the bug that the rest of us had...however after 3 days I took him to the Doctor and sure enough his ears were red!  Fast forward 10 days Kael still not sleeping and not really taking a bottle all that well...took him BACK to the doctor ears still infected which sent me into a panic because we are flying to FL in 10 days...got him into an ENT on a Thursday and they scheduled his tubes for the following Tuesday...crisis solved!

Had Kael's 9 month check you

18.15 11% and 29 inches long 56%

In comparison
Kreighton was 18.14 (I did not write down her length)
Kyle 17.13 and 28 inches long

With his ear infections Kael gave up nursing completely and takes 8 ounces of formula and I looked and Kyle was only taking 4 ounces of formula at the this time!

Kael LOVES this

Happy Baby!

Day 2 in Minnesota!

Day 2....we went to the zoo!  When we first got there I went to put the brake on the double stroller and my flip flop BROKE!  I almost packed up and went home....thankfully Bridget had an extra pair of flats in her car....they worked but gave me blisters!  Bridget was nice enough to switch shoes with me half way through the zoo which gave me some relief!  The zoo was great...they had a new dinosaur exhibit which was very life like, however, it scared Kyle and he cried and clung to me the whole time!

Clara, Kreighton, and Julianna!

Kyle...he was ok with the dinosaurs that did not move!
Kreighton petting the goat...she is currently trying to talk her dad and Grandpa into getting some of these!

Julianna was/is a mother's dream!  She is so great with the kids and interacts with them perfectly!  At one point I think I saw her "counting kids" having her there made things so much easier!

Driving the Boat

Sissy and Nolan...they got there late on Friday night!

Kyle was in heaven James and Bridget have a family in their neighborhood with 4 boys that were more than willing to share their tractor/toys with him!

Kreighton got to go as well

Will found Grandpa's lost Hawkeye Hat...so he got a $1.00

Fred is so mature!

On a walk...Kreighton thought the river looked like a big bubble bath

Kyle helping Uncle James with the fire

I think under his breath Kyle was calling Uncle James a "townie"

And this is where my blog ends...Nolan got baptized on Sunday and I forgot my camera battery at James and Bridget's so I got no pictures!  It was a neat ceremony and they even dipped Nolan into a pool of water...then the priest lifted Nolan up (which was a little scary because Nolan was wet and had oil on him)  It was a great weekend and so fun to be with family and friends...James and Bridget were great hostesses!

Trip To Minnesota...Day 1

Last weekend we went to Minnesota for Nolan's Baptism....Kreighton, Kyle, and Myself went up a day early to spend some extra time with everyone!  It was a VERY interesting 1st Day to say the least!!!

This was my van getting towed...we barely made it to Allison's!

The tow truck!

Ice Cream Break!

Kyle loved it!

At the park!

This is Kyle saying "I Buzz LightYear!"

Jack

Kreighton asked when we got there if she could put her toes in the water before we left...

All was going well.....

Until Kyle fell and couldn't get up and I had to go in after him

And of course the Toyota dealership called me  as soon as we were out to tell me that they wanted to keep the  van overnight!
Thankfully we had roadside assistance so as long as I could get a ride to the dealership they could give me a loaner van (thankfully I had Allison to drive me) they didn't tell me that the new van would smell like smoke!!!!!
