Matching

Tonight Kreighton and I went to a basketball game in Manchester where my old roommate Katie was coaching.  She was super excited to go with just Mom and we had a great time.  But what she was most excited was that we were wearing somewhat matching outfits.  We both had skinny jeans, sweater boots, and fleeces on.  I am sure she will always be this excited to look like her mom!  She has even mentioned that she thinks when she gets bigger that we should just share clothes!

My Bonnie and Clyde

Today was gorgeous outside I got the older kids outside after naps.  Kreighton always has to wear my running mask no matter how warm it was.  They rode around in the gator and looked like they just had robbed a bank!

Kyle is driving the get-away car

Are you sure we are going to get away with this?

steal a quick kiss!

I hope we don't get caught!

And off they go!

Not Missing a Beat

Kael decided to follow in his brother and sister's footsteps and had his 1st ear infection on Saturday!
He woke up from his nap with a fever and a runny nose. Fred and I were supposed to have a "date night" Saturday afternoon/night so we just took Kael along and stopped at Urgent Care and sure enough his right ear was really red!  They put him on amoxicillin and told us to give him tylenol and ibuprofen for pain and his fever.  Yesterday he seemed to be feeling better but did not sleep very well last night.

One of those Mornings

This morning we met the Lange Girls at McDonalds so the kids could play and Kelly and I could enjoy a coffee! The kids all had fun the girls like to run around and Kyle chases them and likes to put them in "jail." After over an hour of playtime we packed the kids up and headed out to the van to drive home!  Well....then came the problem....I locked the keys in the van...oops!  I called Fred in a panic because not only did I lock the keys in the van...the spare set was also in the van...because that makes perfect sense right?  I mean where else would I put them?  Fred was the smart one and remembered our van came with roadside assistance. So being the wonderful husband he is he called roadside assistance and sent them to rescue his wife and 3 kids, only thing it would be over an hour before they could get there.  Thankfully I had enough money to feed them lunch which entertained them for a while and then headed back to the play area to play.  The older two kids loved it, and poor Kael was so tired he fell asleep sitting up in my arms!  Kyle was convinced all I needed to do was call Bappa Glen and he could bring the skid loader and fix it!  And there were some really nice "Grandmas" at McDonalds that offered their help and money, which was super sweet of them.  So our "morning" out turned out to also be an afternoon outing, but I got the kids home and they all 3 took LONG naps!

Another Comparison

Same Tie...different Kid

Kyle is a little older than Kael in this picture but...there are similarities but they both have their own look!

Kael at 5 months!

Hard to believe that my little Kael turned 5 months old yesterday!  It seems like yesterday I was very pregnant and waiting for our bundle of joy to get here!  He is still a good baby, this week he has seemed a little off and cranky during the day and not sleeping very much at night!  So I started a little "baby bootcamp" for him and made him fuss it out and last night he gave us a long stretch so hopefully it will work, because this Mom is tired!  He is still spitting up but it has gotten better, and when Fred took him to the doctor he had put on quite a bit of weight!  On the charts he was on the 1% for weight, and 75% for length, so maybe he is going to have his Uncle James's stature!

And as you can see by these pictures he has VERY blue eyes!

A little Mini Vacation!

Last weekend we went up to Minnesota for what was supposed to be for the weekend, but since bad weather was coming we left a day early and stayed for 3 nights!  It was James's 30th birthday so we had planned a night out and lots of family time!  Bridget, Mom and I even got away for a little shopping, where we talked mom into buying skinny jeans, tall boots, an expensive pair of jeans, and a few tops!

Out with the Old in with the New

We had planned to take Kyle's passy away when we got back from Galena, however, he decided about a week before they were "Yucky" and no longer wanted them!  So there really was no struggle and he adapted pretty well with no passy!

Then he also started crawling out of his crib, yes I feel lucky thet he just started to do it at 2.5 years old, but wasn't sure if I was up to the task of a new bed transition! And actually not a "new" bed, but Fred's old one from when he was a little boy...but it works!

My little camera diva!

Jumping on the bed is so fun!

Kyle loves using a screw driver!

He has done pretty well, we had a few days where he wouldn't nap and told me "Mommy I just want to stay up with YOU" I was about to pull my hair out because naptime is my much needed break from the chaos of Kyle!  But that stage seems to be over...for the time being!

Guess Who is BACK?!?!?

The "Cyclone Fairy" recently showed up at the Peck household.

The Fairy attempted to bribe my kids by leaving little presents for them.  And for a while it worked....I actually heard Kreighton say that she preferred ISU over The Hawks!

This Fairy even left one for me!

But...Guess What.....
My Hawkeye Fans are back!

Fred tried to get the kids to choose the ISU book, but they wouldn't hear of it!

Look how happy they are!

Go Hawks!

Galena 2012!

The Moroney family continued the tradition of celebrating Christmas in style in Galena!  This is the 4th year (I think) we have done this.  We had two houses right next to each other and it worked out great!  This year we drew names and had to get everyone a gift and a t-shirt.  There were all sorts of shirts handed out.  Dad got a muscle tee (he did put it on but asked me not to put it on the internet), Cindy got a Miss Winthrop Shirt, (she was Miss Winthrop in 1969), and Jim got co-founder of the East Buchanan Golf Team, just to name a few!  It was an awesome weekend and we had great weather, and as always it seemed too short!

The December, January, February, and March Birthdays (and Kreighton) shared a cake made by Grandma (I wondered if this would have been ok when we were younger)
