Adventureland

We got free tickets from Brad's step mom to go to Adventureland....so we planned to go on a Wednesday when it would not be so busy...Shannon and Grandpa Craig came as well! The night before the kids were watching TV and all the sudden Kael comes into the kitchen and throws up all over....he has not had the flu since he was 18 months old. Fred and I tried to tell ourselves maybe he drank too much bath water (sometimes he and Kyle play "coffee") You know...parents will try anything to convince themselves that the dreaded stomach flu has not entered their house! BUT when he threw up again we knew there was no denying it! So I ran thieves like crazy and prayed he was the only one....he threw up all night but was a little better in the morning....but not good enough to go Adventureland so he stayed with Grandma and the rest of us headed to Altoona! It was supposed to storm and we almost stayed home....but we decided to take our chances!

Grandpa, Kyle, Sissy, and Kreighton on the log ride...Sissy could not ride that many rides since she was pregnant but this one was safe! And this will be the last picture that my kids will ever have on the log ride because it is gone next year!

Kyle and myself on some ride....

He was a brave boy and surprised me on how much he loved the rides!

All by himself!

The Dragon...a rollar coaster that goes upside down Kreighton rode this one about 5 times in a row...the advantage of going on a  slow day!

The 5 of us!

This is how Kreighton felt about being 1.5 inches too short to ride some of the really big rides...I told her next year she should be tall enough (or maybe we will have to stuff some tissues in her shoes)

So close!

Cool Kids!

Happy Kids!

It really was a fun day I had so many happy memories of Adventureland growing up....we went almost every year with the Dolans and I loved it!   And just having the older 2 was kind of nice they rode rides on their own and the adults could just sit and watch well....maybe Dad and I had a beer....but none the less a great day!
