Halloween Party

We had our 4th Annual Halloween Party at the Monti Hall this past weekend.  It was a blast and our biggest yet!

Kreighton was my "cheerleader divided" even though we did put an extra Hawkeye Tattoo on so everyone knows that she still really loves The Hawks!

The fishing game is always a big hit!

Hanson's Dairy Farm

On Friday we did a little "field trip" with the kids to a dairy farm in Hudson that is set up for tours.

"Milking" the cow

A field trip for the "little girls"

The cows

Had to show case Lydia's butterfly wings she had to wear instead of a dress

They also had wallabies...the kids loved them...I thought they looked like hopping rodents!

They ate right out of the kids' hands

Kyle was so excited for the cows

The only picture I got of all the kids, Grace Anton, LeaAnn and Lydia Beyer, and Kyle and Kreighton
The Lange girls were supposed to come as well...but Miss Charlotte got sick!

Kerri was not afraid to let the cow eat her fingers!

Kreighton and Kyle

Petting the cow

Would have been a great picture if Kyle would have had his eyes open!

Kyle and Lydia

The kids had fun and loved seeing all the cows...we could have dressed ourselves and the kids a little warmer...but over all a great morning!

Dad is in Charge

This is how Fred decided to let the kids "work out" their problems

I don't think I need to explain these pictures! Whatever works...

We have EGGS!

We have had chickens since last May.....and all of our hard work has paid off (well maybe Grandpa Craig) he seems to be the one that is out checking on the chickens!

Here are the kids going out early in the morning

Sadly there was no eggs

HOWEVER...the next day...we found two!

Kreighton was excited!

TWO eggs!

And our 8 chickens...they have gotten so big!

Looks like I will not have to buy eggs anymore!

It's Field Work Time!

So every year this time rolls around...and every year I dread it...HOWEVER this year it was not so bad!

-Maybe it was because I was not a brand new Mom and had no idea what I was doing
-Maybe it was because I was not in the 1st trimester of a pregnancy and dealing with a 1 year old
-Maybe it was because I was not dealing with a 2 year old and attempting to sleep train a 4 month old
-Maybe it was because I did not have a 3 year old and a 1 year old and trying to prepare for a marathon
-Maybe it was because I did not have a 4 and 2 year old AND a new born baby with jaundice

Geez looking back at all of this it is no wonder I dread harvest!

Well as I am typing this we have all the crop out...well all but 3 acres and that is the plot...so Fred tells me that does not count and we have it all done!

Kreighton on her way out to the fields...she loved it this year and would pack a bag...a perfect place to go where her brothers could not bother her!

Here is Kreighton and Tate Youngblut waiting for their ride!

Kreighton and Grandpa Glen...I think she rode for 3 hrs!

Kyle and Grandpa Craig...how lucky are the kids that BOTH Bappas drive a tractor!

Tate LOVED the combine... his smile was so sweet when Fred asked him to turn the wheel!

I could not get a smile here...but he did like it in the combine!

Mr. Kael got to ride a few times!

Fred out fixing the combine

And my favorite photo....Kreighton sleeping on the tractor!

Tractor Naps are the best!

And even when we get home...we still "play" harvest...Kyle was telling Kreighton "catch me"

And Grandpa Craig even had to play while he was waiting for the dryer

Kyle was a BTO...two combines at once!

And Kael was MAD he could not help!
